Drupal and LinkedIn

Well it has been a while since writing a post on here, so I thought I would write a short piece of news about what has been going on in my little world around Triverse Designs, web design in general and public profiles.

Firstly, I have nearly completed the Triverse Designs support system. This is a handy system for clients and the business itself boasting features such as supplier, domain, hosting, servers, licences, client and support ticket information. For clients, they will be able to login, lodge a support request, check what domains and hosting accounts they have, when they expire, FTP Details as well as other various login details.
This system will grow with time and accommodate any features clients decided they would like to see. We expect to launch this system at the start of February.

We are also preparing for our first screencast series which will be focused on everything about Drupal. Stay tuned for that in January 2010.

Next we have news about Drupal. Drupal 6 is now my base version to use for creating customised content management system based websites and has become my primary tool for the kinds of websites I am creating. So there has been a lot of talk about Drupal 7 of late, which brings most of the primary contributed modules into core, which alleviates the need for having to keep more and more modules up to date.
I have been playing around with the latest developer builds and it sure is looking great. I cannot wait for a final release.
If you dont know what Drupal is, go to the Drupal website and have a read. It is not an easy framework to learn, but once you know it fairly well, the potential to what you can do with it, is quite simply, massive.

Finally, I have recently been updating my LinkedIn profile. Its a great site if you looking to network with potential clients, companies and even friends. Definitely worth a check out. Also if you are already on there, add me and or Triverse Designs.
Update: LinkedIn also has a free useful iPhone app. Search for it in the app store via iTunes.
